ROUTE: EX DELHI/KOLKATA - GUWAHATI - MANAS NATIONAL PARK - NAMERI NATIONAL PARK - KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK - GUWAHATI

Day 1: Delhi/Kolkata - Guwahati

Arrive at Guwahati and check into your hotel. Visit the Guwahati Garbage Dump and Deepor Bill Wildlife Sanctuary for your first birding introduction in Northeast India.

Days 2 & 3: Guwahati - Manas National Park

​

Drive to Manas National Park, a Project Tiger Reserve and a World Heritage Site, that is spectacularly located in the foothills of the Himalayas. Explore the park for the next two days on jeep and elephant safaris, looking for a wide range of flora and fauna. There will also be time to enjoy some cultural activities: visit a nearby tribal Bodo village, a tea garden and local weaving centers. Stay overnight at a lodge outside Manas National Park.

Days 4 & 5: Manas National Park - Nameri National Park 

​

Drive to Nameri National Park. Explore the park on foot, spending most of your time in the forest spotting as many birds as you can. There will also be opportunity to raft on the Jia-Bhorelli River and spot waterside birds. Stay overnight at Eco Camp outside Nameri National Park.

 

Days 6 & 7: Nameri National Park - Kaziranga National Park

Drive to Kaziranga National Park. Visit the park's different ranges on jeep and elephant safaris. In between safaris, you can also opt to explore nearby villages and tea gardens in the area. Stay overnight at Diphlu River Lodge or similar.

 

Day 8: Kaziranga National Park - Guwahati - Delhi/Kolkata

Transfer to Guwahati airport for your onward journey.
