The following tour program is prepared
to create an experience which will
encapsulate the diverse attractions
of India. The modern and ancient
coexist effortlessly in the destinations
included in this tour program.
You will visit the world famous
Golden Triangle comprising Delhi
- Agra - Jaipur. You will sail along
the mighty Brahmaputra river in
the remote part of Northeast India,
Assam on RV Sukapha or RV Charaidew,
run by Assam Bengal Navigation,
winner of the National Tourism Award.
This itinerary takes you to one
of the finest wild life parks of
India, the UNESCO declared Kaziranga
National Park, famous for the largest
concentration of one horned rhinos
in the world.
We will be using hotels/resorts
which are conveniently located and
offer some of the best service and
comfort. In Delhi we will be using
the Maidens run by the Oberoi Group
of Hotels, in Agra and Jaipur we
will use the Trident Hilton Hotels
and in Kaziranga National Park we
will use the Diphlu River Lodge
run by Assam Bengal Navigation and
Wild Grass Resort.

ITINERARIES:
Day
01 : ARRIVAL DELHI
Arrive at International
airport where you will be met by
our representative and transferred
to Oberoi Maidens. On arrival check
- in to hotel.
Day
02 : SIGHTSEEING DELHI
Proceed for full
day sightseeing of Delhi.
Visit Jama Masjid - Drive past the
Red Fort also known as Lal Quila
- Walk through the historic Chandni
Chowk popularly called Silver Street.
Drive past the Secretariat Building
and the President's House.
Visit India Gate - Humayun's Tomb.
Return to hotel. Dinner at hotel.

03 : DELHI TO AGRA
Today after breakfast
we leave for Agra, a four hours
drive by car or coach.
Check into Hotel Trident Hilton
at Agra. Later proceed for sightseeing
of Agra City.
Visit the Agra Fort including the
Jahangiri Mahal, Diwan-i-khas, Diwan-i-Am
and Moti Masjid.
Finally feast your eyes on one of
the Seven Wonders of the World -
the Taj Mahal.
Dinner at Hotel.

04 : AGRA TO JAIPUR VIA FATEHPUR
SIKRI
Today after breakfast
drive to Jaipur (410 km) via Fatehpur
Sikri. Fatehpur Sikri - the deserted
capital city.
Dinner at hotel.
Day
05 : IN JAIPUR
After breakfast
proceed for sightseeing of Jaipur
city.
Amber Fort is the complex of palaces,
halls, pavilions, gardens and temples
- Drive past the Hawa Mahal (Palace
of Winds).

06 : JAIPUR TO DELHI
Leave Jaipur and
proceed to Delhi by surface. This
drive will take 5 hours and we will
cover a distance of 250 km.
Arrive in Delhi and transfer to
hotel. Short sightseeing of delhi
in the afternoon. Rest of the day
free. Dinner at the hotel.

07 : DELHI TO GUWAHATI, EMBARK CRUISE
VESSEL
Today depart to
airport to catch flight for Guwahati.
Met at Guwahati airport and taken
on a short sightseeing tour of the
city. Drive up Nilachal Hill to
see the holy Kamakhya temple.
Day
08 : CRUISE
The day is spent
cruising upstream, with hills rising
on either side. Battling against
strong currents, we reach an idylli
stop at Ganesh Pahar. Where we can
explore a delightfully serene hinterland
lying under jungle-covered slopes.

09 : CRUISE
Leaving the hills
behind, we enjoy our first taste
of the wilderness experience, sand
banks like icebergs on either side.
We may make a short stop to visit
a bankside village, creating a sensation
as we do. We moor for the night
in a lunar landscape of sand islands,
with hopefully the Himalayas in
view and providing a contrasting
backdrop in the distance.
Day
10 : CRUISE
Rising early,
we take to our country boat for
another cruise up a side stream,
this time into the Orang National
Park. Here in this rarely visited
park we mount elephants and ride
through forest and grassland looking
for rhino, deer and other wildlife.
Returning to Charaidew, we cruise
upstream to the little trading settlement
of Singri Ghat, its main street
running alongside a teagarden.

11 : CRUISE
We cruise on this
morning to Tezpur, and drive out
to the 6th century Da Parbatia temple
ruins with a beautifully carved
portal, then explore the town by
cycle rickshaw, stopping at Cole
Park with medieval stone carvings
saved from sites all over the region
and perhaps penetrating the bungalow
once lived in by Alexander Bruce,
pioneer of the tea industry.

12 : SILGHAT TO DIPHLU RIVER LODGE,
KAZIRANGA NP
We continue upstream,
passing below a seemingly endless
new bridge across the vast width
of the river bed, to moor at Steamer
Ghat, a lovely beach backed by jungle-covered
hills. We disembark here and drive
to Diphlu River Lodge. On arrival
we will check in at the Lodge. After
a sumptuous meal at the lodge we
drive to Kaziranga's Western Range
for an afternoon jeep safari and
to scan the wildemess from an observation
tower.

13 : KAZIRANGA
NP
Today after a
pre-dawn wakeup call drive to Kaziranga's
Central Range for an early morning
elephant ride, the best way to get
really close to the rhino and other
animals. After breakfast at the
lodge, we walk through terraced
tea gardens and then drive to a
Mising tribal village, with their
distinctive houses raised on stilts.
After lunch we will take a jeep
safari in the Central Range. Evening
enjoy local people performing folk
dances around a campfire.
Day
14 : KAZIRANGA NP
Today early morning
we can enjoy another early elephant
ride in the National Park. Alternatively
we can visit the nearby Panbari
forest with its rich variety of
birds and the elusive Slow Loris
and Hoolock Gibbon. We will be back
to the lodge for lunch at noon.
Afterwards we will drive to the
little visited Eastern Range for
another open jeep safari before
returning to the Lodge. Evening
enjoy another folk dance performance
by a different tribe.

15 : KAZIRANGA
- GUWAHATI - DELHI
Today after breakfast
we will leave for Guwahati airport
(200 km) about 4 hours driving distance
away. On arrival at airport check
in for flight to Delhi. On arrival
at Delhi meet and assist at the
airport and transfer to Hotel. Evening
free to explore the city on your
own.
Day
16 : DELHI HALF DAY SIGHTSEEING
& TRANSFER TO AIRPORT
Today morning
after breakfast we will go for a
short half day city sightseeing
trip before returning to the hotel.
Afternoon and early evening free
for you to explore on your own.
Late evening transfer to the airport
for your flight back to New York.
